Our Founders
Rose Mary O’Brien, MSN RN
Nurturing Nurses co-founder
Rose Mary O’Brien, known as the “Nursing School Mom,” brings a caring heart to all she does. She has over 15 years of experience as an obstetrical nurse and 11 years teaching, with 8 years as an ATI coordinator. Rose Mary created a unique teaching approach focusing on individual students’ learning abilities. She believes that each student should be nurtured and encouraged to perform to their potential.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, she’s giving back to the nursing community by loving every future nurse and helping them believe in themselves. She empowers her students to overcome mental obstacles like anxiety and being overwhelmed by the course load, helping them pass the NCLEX, and flourish in a rewarding nursing career.
Heather Perrow, MEd MA
Nurturing Nurses co-founder
Heather Perrow is a skilled educator with expert knowledge in online teaching. Her two Master’s Degrees in Education and wealth of experience in the classroom enabled her to hone strategies and creative thinking to reach each student.
She obtained a BA and MFA in Dance and understands the direct connection to physical and mental well-being as a student and also when caring for others.
Heather and Rose Mary share the commitment to knowing and nurturing every student to their potential. It is an honor for Heather to be working alongside her Mom to nurture future nurses to a healthful and rewarding vocation.
